Recinto is the concretion of ideas and learning that each of these projects has left, in syncretism with the magic of Tulum. Mayakoba Prado 08 2019 Mayacoba, Mexico The Mayakobá residences, which are also designed by Endémico, are one of the best examples of eco conscious housing. Their design prioritizes the maximum conservation of the existing vegetation, as well as the application of bioclimatic criteria and eco-technologies (that take full advantage of sunlight, cross ventilation and humidity conditions) to generate the best conditions of thermal comfort and sustainability in its wide interior spaces. In addition, the use of local materials such as chukum, carpentry made with regional wood, granite kitchen and bathroom bars, parking spaces with permeable floors and gardening designed with local species, all mark a changing trend in construction scenarios towards more environmentally friendly methods. ​ This residence consists of 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, utility room, 2.5 bathrooms, access terrace, pool, main and rear garden, and a 2-car garage. The Jungle houses emerge as a set of houses based on sustainability criteria and located in the jungle of Tulum. Designed for people seeking tranquility and a lifestyle in contact with nature. ​ The design concept is inspired by the conservation of the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve, one of the most important Natural Protected Areas in Mexico and the world for the environmental services it provides, and a successful case in terms of conservation of its ecosystems such as jungle, wetlands, mangroves and coral reefs. ​ Because the jungle vegetation is the main actor, this project seeks through architecture to give life to spaces where being surrounded by nature is part of everyday life.
